As the pioneer behind the groundbreaking L.E.A.P. to Equity, Ancestral Leadership and emotional Intelligence Program and Coaching Framework, she re-imagines how we view Cultural Identity, Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Anti-Racism Leadership training. With a foundation in ancestral wisdom and cultural equity-focused learning, Karlyn drives equitable change by cultivating psychological safety, emotional intelligence, and personal growth within organizations.
KDPM Equity Institute is home to KDPM’s L.E.A.P. to Equity, Ancestral Leadership and Emotional Intelligence Program and Coaching Framework. KDPM's programs have been noted to be at the forefront of innovative Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Anti-Racism Leadership Competency training. The cultural equity-focused learning experiences are rooted in ancestral wisdom systems, psychological safety, neuroscience, emotional intelligence and adult learning principles; KDPM Equity Institute provides Human Equity centred training, coaching and cultural equity solutions to help support the human element of implementing and integrating company-wide DEI strategies. Karlyn and the team recently launched the Ubumuntu Fellowship Program, with the goal of certifying 1000 Black women in Ancestral Leadership and Emotional Intelligence. KDPM Group in partnership with York University have released a groundbreaking study on Workplace Wellbeing, titled, Psychological Safety in The Workplace, focused on Black women at work.
