Teresa Dukes is the Executive Director of the Social Innovation Office at the Government of Manitoba, where she tackles complex problems using bold solutions.
Her team brings together community organizations, the private sector and government to solve complex social and environmental challenges not solved by one sector alone, by using innovation and social finance tools. She works that the centre of the nexus between the actors - creating greater access to capital for social purpose organizations, helping government to take greater risks to achieve bold outcomes, and creating more investment opportunities for investors interested in social and environmental impact.
Over the past four years, she has enabled over $200 million in new funding to be made available for Manitoba-based organizations who helping to solve challenges in the areas of Health, Social Welfare, Justice, Education, Housing, and the Environment.
Teresa’s career has been dedicated to driving better outcomes for society by transforming systems through partnerships, effective processes, and data.
